NEXUS Triathlon 2014
Woke up around 5am and reached Nexus International School before 630am today.
I was so proud of QK as not because this was his 1st but his
courage to say YES when Roy challenged him to take part in the under 15 years old category despite the short notice and lack of proper training.
I did observe QK pay more attending during his training the last 3 weeks and that's really a good sign as he learnt he has to
take responsibility to what he has committed. He can have his choice but there's always a price to pay ^_^
What did I see today during the race was the "spirit of not giving up" ! He was exhausted after the 200m swim for whatver reason, I can feel his disappointment after he came up from the pool, I just smile and told him
'Jia You'.....(in my heart, I pray hard that he will not tell me I want to "quit" ha ha ).
Indeed, when you want something bad enough, you will get it! QK finished his race and collected the finisher medal. This was the most beautiful experience parents can give to their kids; guide them, uplift them and have patience throughout the process.
When the next race? He is looking forward to return to this race 2015! Well, I am surely more than happy to continue the personal training with him, more time in the swimming pool as well as a slow walk or jog in the park / trails. I simply every moments................
