GUT & Psychology Syndrome (GAPS)

WHAT IS GAPS?

Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAP Syndrome or GAPS) is a condition, which establishes a connection between the functions of the digestive system and the brain.

I am very grateful to attend the seminar by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride, MD, MMedSci (neurology), MMedSci (human nutrition) last Fri organized by Hils Learning @ The International School, Desa Park City.

This is really something new for me and now I have better understanding the condition behind many mental and physical problems, which our children and adults suffer from, such as autism, hyperactivity and attention deficit, dyslexia, dyspraxia, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders and more.

Unlike the other 'medical/ health seminars' I have attended, Dr Natasha presentation is rather easy to understand and the flow is just right (Unfortunately, this is just a 3 hours session else I am sure there are more she can share with us).

In short, we all know that Antibiotic, Pills, Drugs, Stress, Poor Diet, Infection, Bottle feeding, Old age, Pollution, Radiation, Alcohol, Toxic Chemicals and Dental work is affecting the healthy stage of the GUT Flora......HOW CAN WE PREVENT ALL THAT?

I strongly believe this is individual CONSCIOUS choice. I might be aware but I choose to do nothing or I do not have the opportunity to expose to such information, so I don't know....

Btw, the GAPS Diet seems very interesting; it has been strongly stressed to consume food that is given by mother nature!! All invented by man-kind is Dangerous, Destructive and cause DAMAGES.

Lastly, there's also an area cover 'Detoxifiction & Life Stlye Change'. I guess this is not a problem for me since I have been doing that for a while ....maybe just need to fine-tune to get the maximun result :)

Judy's Yoga Therapy

Thank You Teressa for getting me this book.
This is a very interesting book - the author has structured the book nicely and you will have a better view of the relation of asana, anatomy & psyhology.

I believe there are more who are looking for the complementary and alternative medicine now - YOGA is one of them. Do you still think that yoga just only = asana? There are 8 limbs of Pantanjali yoga - Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyaharam, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. (I am still learning and I am sure the experience will be there when the timing is right ^-^)

Do you see that Asana just one of the 8? The more you get into Yoga, there are so much to learn and explore! Now, what is PranayamaAt time, when I am feeling stress, I find my breathing is rather short and shallow. (pretty common??). Read on the book, to find out how breathing can affect the circulation, autoimmunity and endocrine system!!

Last but not least, there are also articles on how the pressure points (Anyone know what is the right term for 'Jin Ro' in English?) which can heal commonly found sickness too. Ok, I am not going to write more and you may head off to any major book shop to grab the book and start reading.....

My principle is very simple, to have healthy body and mind, apart from regular exercise, control the balance diet and always give time to quiet the mind and calm the body; maybe with some minor change of lifesty ^-^

I CAN HEAL MYSELF AND YOU CAN HEAL YOURSELF TOO.

Reading time

These are my new collection for Q2,2012. No doubt, the basic rules are the same when come to exercise and is depend on how you are committed t the exercise? In order to see the desire result :)

Maybe I have been reading too much or getting the same categories of book all of the time? Just from different author, publication and different photos :) (waste of money?? or collecting the receipt for the Tax declaration?? ha ha)

No matter what, one should continue to read to improve the knowledge or at least you can stay away from your electronic gadgets for a while!!!

Let me know if any of the particular book caught your eyes and I will share more in depth with you.

You have read enough?


These are the books for Q1, 2012 - not really finished page by page but they are really good books for your inner self, parenting as well as self improvemnt.
Running out of ideas what to read for your children? Children will love this as the teaching of Jing Shi Yu has been translated into comic - easy to read and message delivered clearly.

Found a 'Home Library' for all the yoga books. Thank you Adeline for sharing with me all her collections. There are books she bought from overseas during her vacation and you can't get them here in Malaysia!!!
