Color Kids @ The Color Tree

Thank you kids, we have great fun today!
It is not the colors you are wearing, it is your presence that count.
My students (no matter you are junior or senior), they are my best teacher; they allow me to continue to learn and grow ^-^
I enjoyed every individual class as it motivate me to look into new asana for the week, I spend time searching for story books, and take  opportunity to do sharing that will help on characters building.
It is not important if you have not seen any physical improvement but I am sure you have gained some skills/tips on day to day living since we met .....

I can't wait to see you all again.

Trying hard to get pregnant? Getting frustrated with the rountine sex 'chore', suffering unexplained infertility? The answer could be due to 'STRESS' or unable to relax.

There are lot of articles you can read from the internet - natural tips and guidelines. One of it is YOGA!!! (you know I how I love yoga and surely I am not going to miss the articles).

In short, yoga help you to RELAX (teaches you how to relax and reducing the stress level). When you are in the relax stage, hormones will be balance, blood flow to the entire body regulated

I am going to share with you the following hatha yoga poses that will increase your fertility and to relax. There's no testimonial so far the positive result but in my opinion, at least one will feel very relax and wanting to practice over and over again.

You may practice these asana 3 times a week, and always listen to your body and follow your own capacity whenever you are on the mat! Safety come first. I trust the more your practice, you better you are going to feel.

The following asana (poses) increase your prana/energy; promote blood circulation and strengthening the muscles in your pelvic regions.

1. Lotus Pose / half lotus
2. Wide leg forward

3. Butterfly Pose
4. Abdominal twist
5. Legs on the Wall Pose
6. Child's Pose
7. Pelvic Tilt Pose
8. Supported Bridge Pose

Apart from the physical exercise, you might want to consider changing your life style and eating habbit. Let's see you have how many 'ticks' from the 10 below:
  • Sleep late (> 11pm)
  • Shower after 8pm (this including wash hair at night)
  • Enjoy cold drinks (Ice tea is a must during lunch)
  • Fast food is your choice
  • Smoke & drink
  • Access to junk food easily
  • You like fried food
  • Vegetable & fruit always out of your mind
  • Hectic work life (biz trip, con-call, meeting after meeting)
  • Your parents on your back when you will deliver baby

Fast for Health

Did the title catch your attention?  (Not because that the Ramadan already around the corner ok....)

I personally find that fasting is safe & natural way to heal as well as detoxify the body.

You will service your car when it reaches certain mileage, I am sure your wash the air-con filters, you even clean the drainage periodically and why not the body?

The side effect from the fasting - it can reverse the ageing process, make you look + feel younger and more energetic. If you are feeling tired, heaviness or unwell, it's is the time for you to fast!!

How to fast? There are may ways to do so. I have been following the 'BMS Organics' way for close to 2 years now. You may visit any of the outlet for the guidelines. I like to suggest you have your family members join in the exercise and everybody will enjoy the benefits.

You may also practice the following asanas (yoga postures) to promote the good bowel movement during the fasting period. This is very simple yet very effective.

The asanas also recommended for people who suffering digestive disorders (constipation, indigestion and other digestive upset).

My Youngest Yoga Student

Do you know what kids like most? To PLAY. They associate all things with playing...

My little nephew came and visit me some months back and he decided to stay with me somehow over the weekend. It has been a long while I have to take care 'little boy' and was a bit nervous. (the feeding time, shower and PLAY with them) ha ha.

Anyhow, things went on well with the help of Qin Kai and the we spend  a long time on the yoga mat; the little boy enjoyed the activities so much, he is also very corporative when I told him: ' Ah Yi like to take some photos of you in the yoga pose', you can see for yourself the outcome ^-^

There's no need to have complex science when come to deal with kids (no matter how old they are; this is my personal experience). The secret is you need to be at the present with them and with your love to them (Trust me, they can feel it!!)

The little boy also enjoy the story-telling and massaging time. I am grateful as I have access to the nice story book from Sanctuary Book House in Kota Kemuning; he might get bored but if you know how to 'read' and make the story exciting - you will be impressed how he will share with you his view point from the story book. Isn't that great.

I do not have any special tricks when come to massage, just a gentle stroke on the palms and feet (you can use any essential oil or just the baby oil) - the feeling is so good (you can try this on your spouse also) and I am sure no one will resist that.

Check out the upcoming event 2012 Malaysia Children Yoga Teacher Training Course  conducted by R. Tamminga'. You will be happy you didn't miss these workshop and bring home how to teach & guide toddler, young children, teenage yoga, stroy telling as well as yoga massage.

Yoga is not just asana and not just for adults. Yoga is for ALL. I have a lot of beautiful experience the past 16 months and I am sure more will come.

I am sure you have came across Master Cheng Yen's Jing-Si Yu and I learnt this from the speaker at the Kelana Jaya Jing-Si Book & Cafe last Sat

What did I experience from the talk and what is that for me to comtemplate? Let me share with you...
  1. Do you know why kids were addicted to electronic game (computer, Ipad, PSP* etc)
  2. Have you ever tried to PLAY with them to find out why?
  3. How do we set the limit and implemented the limit?
  4. What is the role-model?

There also lot of other sharing from the talk, the most important, use our 'heart' to do every single things and learnt to see the 'good side', always use words that are uplifting and have gratitude towards all things.
